I used to work for the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) as the program Manager for Forestry. Before that I was an Injury Prevention Consultant and I worked with the Police in Road Safety.
I also worked in agriculture being a member of the Agriculture Health and Safety Committee, and I worked with Farmsafe. trying to reduce injuries in farming. I was also on the Share Milkers committee.
When I worked as an Injury Prevention Consultant, my job required me to work with some of the worst performing businesses, to try an improve their safety.
Two key focuses of my work were the Shearing Contractors and sawmills. This gave me a wide experience in reducing injuries.
Now my focus is producing resources that help inform health and safety
